CHAIR AFFAIR DECORATION SESSIONS
Connie Scheid has organized a fun opportunity for YCT climbers from ALL TEAMS to show off their creative side and support area youth by decorating chairs to be auctioned at the Boys & Girls Club's Chair Affair Gala! The funds raised from the auctioned chairs support various programming initiatives at the Boys & Girls Club.
THE DETAILS
Two dates for climbers to decorate chairs for the event:
Saturday, September 13th // 10am
Saturday, September 27th // 10am
Climbers will gather on Roca's green space (to the left of the parking lot, by the dirt pile) on both dates to decorate
Currently 4 chairs to decorate
If you have more you'd like to donate for decoration, bring them - the more the merrier!
Climbers from all teams are welcome to participate
Climbers will work together to design & decorate
Let the imagination run wild!
Paint, bedazzle, glitter, you name it!
Some paint & decorations will be available but it is encouraged to bring more if you have some to spare
Paint brushes of all sizes are needed
2 days are planned so paint can dry prior to further decoration
If you have any questions, please reach out directly to Connie Scheid (cjscheid27@gmail.com).
2025 AUGUST UPDATES
Youth Climb Team Booster Club Meeting
WHEN: Monday, August 11th // 7pm-8:30pm
WHERE: Roca’s Birthday Party Room
WHAT: A meeting for climb team parents interested in joining/helping Team Roca’s Booster Club this season. This meeting is PARENT-LED (Connie S.) and will focus solely on parent-organized events to support climb team this season (not to discuss team changes at Roca or USAC changes). The formation of the booster club serves as a more formal way for parents to meet, discuss, plan, and implement events that occur outside of practice/gym organized events. Some past events/ideas for this year include: pasta feeds, pancake breakfasts, chair affair, float for homecoming parades, attending club days/nights at local high schools, etc.
Please contact Connie Scheid if you have any questions or are interested in helping but cannot attend the meeting.

2025 JULY UPDATES
Our ops team has been hard at work this summer discussing and planning changes for the upcoming competition season. These changes are in response to USAC’s changes, growth of the program, ever-increasing costs, and to meet the overall needs of the gym. The changes are necessary for Roca’s Youth Climb Team Program to continue to operate sustainably.

Competition Fee for Roca’s USAC Competitors
To keep with ever-increasing costs, we are implementing a yearly one-time fee for all climbers who plan to compete at USAC-sanctioned comps during the competition season.
$100 per climber paid at the start of the competition season in September
This fee helps offset the costs associated with coaching at comps, including travel & lodging for Roca’s coach as well as adjusting for changes made by USAC
As a reminder, Roca sends 1 coach to the following comps:
Boulder
Two qualifying comps (2 closest, geographically, to Roca)
Regionals (as long as 3 climbers qualify AND attend)
Divisionals (as long as 3 climbers qualify AND attend)
